THIS WEEK’S REVIEW of litters registered with GRV during the week ending May 18 is headed by a nice litter of four dogs and five bitches registered by South Cranbourne
breeder, Peter Wardle.
These nine infants are by the beautifully bred, well performed Diffuser (December 2001 Awesome Assassin x Marungi Doll), whose dam is by Big Ginger Boy out of Idol Storm (Amerigo Man x Storm Doll).
Just a few days before I received the list of registrations from GRV, I received an e-mail from Scott Parkes, on behalf of Stan Wardle, telling me the litter was going to be registered that week.
Scott also said that all of the pups were sold prior to being born, so unfortunately there are no more available. Scott went on to say that Stan has a very high opinion of Diffuser, who is standing at Eddie Lieshout’s Parumba Stud, and had so much faith in him as a sire that he sent his well bred, proven brood bitch, Mancunian Sue to him, resulting in the litter on the list this week.
My breeding files show no registered offspring for Diffuser, so I checked his pedigree, which also shows me he is from a litter that included Marungi Assassin, Marungi Moss, Rev The Chev and Zondrel.
Then to refresh my memory I pulled out his race record that shows he raced 40 times for the very good return of 23 wins and eight seconds, earning just short of $40,000 in stakes.
He won three races over 515 metres at Sandown for a very smart 29.89 PB, three over 525 metres at The Meadows (30.26), and also over 515 metres at Angle Park (29.81) on metro tracks, whilst he also won four races over 513 metres at Traralgon (29.66), three over 424 metres at Warragul (24.12), three over 440 metres at Sale (24.82), two over 474 metres at Wangaratta (26.91), and also over 450 metres at Ballarat (25.24), 440 metres at Shepparton (24.89) and 530 metres at Canberra (30.90).
Mancunian Sue (June 2000 World Title x Brookside Red), whose dam is by Head Honcho out of Mancunian Girl (Malawi x Raheen Star), is from a litter that included Doctor Naralee, Missy Main and Red Mancunian, which was her dam’s only litter.
On the track she was lightly raced with just 19 starts from which she managed five wins and four placings, winning over 515 metres at Sandown (30.23), 525 metres at The Meadows (30.54) and three times over 513 metres at Traralgon (29.75).
The only previous litter I have for her on file was whelped in October 2004 to Elite State, producing Bomber Dream, Bomber Elite, Elite Mancunian, Hades Myth, Mauncunian Kim and Sir Stylish.
Pity all this litter are sold, but it might encourage a few prospective breeders to have a closer look at Diffuser, which you can do at www.diffuseratstud.com
I have just checked the website and would like to say it’s outstanding, containing Sire Analysis, Race Record, Race DVD’s, Pedigree, photos of some of his pups and general news, including details of his matings. It is certainly worth a closer look.
This raises an interesting point, and I would like to hear from other studmasters who have websites for their sires, and the details. If you haven’t, then have a close look at this one, which may give you some ideas, as this certainly is the way to go.

Stan Wardle was recently interviewed by Peter Quilty of The Adviser and stated. “ He (Diffuser) was a brilliant greyhound –an absolute professional. I have so much faith in him as a sire, that I recently put him over Mancunian Sue” (World Title-Brookside Red)
